We are incredibly proud to share that Dorothy Grant will be recognized by Ernst & Young with the Ernst & Young Ripples Impact Entrepreneur Special Citation at the Ernst & Young Entrepreneur Of The Year® 2026 Pacific Awards in Vancouver on October 23.
This recognition holds special meaning because it celebrates the impact Dorothy’s work has created far beyond fashion.
For more than four decades, Dorothy has used fashion as a platform to preserve and share living Haida culture. Her designs have carried Haida art and storytelling onto international runways and into museums and cultural institutions around the world.
She has created new pathways for Indigenous designers and entrepreneurs, mentored and encouraged emerging generations, and demonstrated that cultural preservation and innovation can move forward together.
At the heart of this recognition is something that has always been central to Dorothy’s work: creating opportunities, strengthening cultural pride, sharing knowledge, and ensuring Indigenous art and identity are seen, respected and carried forward.
We are deeply grateful to Ernst & Young for recognizing Dorothy’s journey and the ripple her work continues to create.
We invite you to celebrate this extraordinary milestone with us. Share Dorothy’s story, support Indigenous design and entrepreneurship, and help us continue the ripple ~ honouring the culture, creativity and generations that make this journey possible.
From Dorothy and all of us at Dorothy Grant Studio ~ Haw’aa. The ripple continues.
